Measurements are important to identify the correct driveshaft  slip yoke.  In the Driveline business everything goes by dimension and we will want you to carefully check these dimensions.  We will also be happy to assist.

A lot of vehicles we know by application and or just the transmission but taking a few simple dimensions means you get what you need the on the first try.  We like doing it right the first time.  It is less expensive on everyone and much quicker this way.

1.  Transmission Yokes are identified first by spline count of the transmission output shaft.

2.  U-Joint series.  See U-Joint Identification for assistance.

3.  Length from center of U-Joint cap to tip of barrel.

4. Ground Hub diameter is diameter of barrel where the seal rides.  transmission yoke spline viewdriveshaft yoke, trans yoke length

Click on photos for a larger view.  On left is center of U-Joint to tip and right is spline count and barrel diameter.   Call if any questions, we will happily assist.

Missing Splines: Some Transmission Yokes have missing Splines.  If you are counting the yoke, add the missing spline(s) to get the correct count.  The Transmission Output Shaft will always have the correct count and no splines will be missing.

Counter Bore:  Some Transmission Yokes are counter bored (splines do not go all the way to the end).  If yours is counter bored let us know.

Length change:  Transmission Yokes may have changed slightly in length over the years.  Some went obsolete and were replaced with similar but not exact length.  Typically if the replacement is within 1/2 to 1 inch it will work fine.  It is critical that the yoke gets all the way through the bushing in the transmission tailhousing.  Call if you have any questions or to order.

If you don't see what you need.  Please call and have dimensions available.  We will be pleased to assist.
